Description
The Black Glasses is a stunning set of three paintings (90 * 130 cm each) by the Egyptian surrealist artist Yasser Rostom inspired by the 1963 Egyptian movie The Black Glasses.
The paintings are part of his latest collection, “Kotchina” or “Playing Cards”, which pays tribute to the legendary artists and singers from Egypt’s golden age of cinema. The paintings feature the iconic actors Ahmed Mazhar, Nadia Lotfy and ِ Ahmed Ramzy in surreal scenes that evoke their roles and personalities. These paintings are a rare opportunity to own a piece of Egyptian cultural history, as well as a masterpiece of contemporary surrealism.
