Shaaban El-Hussieny is a talented painter who creates stunning expressionistic mixed-media paintings on canvas. He was born in 1971 in Al-Sharqiya Governorate, Egypt, where he grew up surrounded by the beauty of nature and the art of his father. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Department, Helwan University in 1995 and became a member of the Fine Artists Syndicate and Cairo Atelier. He has also worked as an animator and an interior designer.
Shaaban has always been passionate about art and colors. He started his career engraving acid etch on copper, but later switched to painting to express his emotions and visions. He is known for his colorful and expressive portraits of people, often depicting their inner states and feelings. He has won several awards for his paintings and has participated in many exhibitions, both solo and group.
Some of his most notable exhibitions include “Time Difference” in 2018, where he explored the concept of time and how it affects people’s choices and outcomes; “The Dream” in 2019, where he created a beautiful visual experience of dreams and fantasies; “The Other Side” in 2020, where he showed the contrast between reality and illusion, and how people perceive things differently from different perspectives; and “Code of Life” in 2021, where he reflected on the mechanization and codification of reality and how it impacts human lives.
